Account Relations Role (P/T)

Profile of Company:
Founded in 2009, Marketing What’s New is an Ottawa-based digital agency focused on serving B2B and life sciences companies. It’s main agency service is managing lead generation campaigns. Team members are independent contractors who want to do fulfilling work, applying their expertise to a wide variety of client campaigns.

Brief Description:
This role works alongside both clients and our internal client service team. The Account Relations person is part of a self-organizing, agile team which works to build and optimize marketing programs. They can clearly communicate and collaborate with both a diverse group of clients and the internal team.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope out media budget and client tasks, assigning them to relevant team members
  • Prepare project briefs and share with team (campaigner and infrastructure analyst)
  • Hold client bi-weekly team meetings to review media budget and campaign results
  • Get feedback from clients, strategize with internal team on how to act on it
  • Update dashboard metrics,
  • Analyze and report on performance of team’s activities on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Identify processes needing improvement and take actionable recommendations  to management

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • Problem solving, with both numbers (quantitative) and words (qualitative)
  • Ability to make creative suggestions for optimizing campaigns generate leads.
  • Written communications, especially web-related
  • Understand project schedules/critical paths
  • Gathering analytic data and assembling reports
  • Self-starter mindset, results-driven, a positive attitude with high professional standards

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Google AdWords, Analytics, G-Suite/MS Office Applications

Infrastructure Analyst Role (P/T)

Brief Description:
This role works alongside our internal client service team. The Infrastructure Analyst is part of a self-organizing, agile team which works to build and optimize marketing programs. They analyze and report on performance of team’s activities on a bi-weekly basis, meeting with team to review campaign results. They use feedback from internal team on how to craft reports that give them better insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up tags for new clients/new campaigns, including AdWords, Bing, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and retargeting platforms
  • When Campaigners add new conversions to PPC accounts, quality check that conversions are being accurately tracked.
  • Create/modify dashboards that show account performance
  • Set up Conversion Optimization tests
  • Identify processes needing improvement and take actionable recommendations  to management
